
Robin Angotti is an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education at UW Bothell. She received her Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from North Carolina State University in 2004. She is a National Board Certified high school mathematics teacher and taught public high school in rural eastern North Carolina for a decade before returning to school for her Ph.D.
Angotti’s research background is in using Multiple Representations to Enhance Student Learning in Developmental Algebra, Statistics Education, and Pedagogical Best Practices for Implementing Technology in Mathematics Education. Her current research focus is in using technology to encourage embodied thinking through gesture supported interactions of multiple representations in mathematics.
